Whisky Cornetto - Portugal summer 1985
When I moved to Portugal one of the things remember most was getting pocket money from my parents and trying out the whole catalogue of ice creams from Ola (Walls in the UK). It was an actual event waiting for each new summer catalogue, this one was by far the best with Whisky Cornetto topping my favourites list! It would definitley not be allowed today (Whisky for kids wtf!?!) but it was the 80’s so that was cool…
Next best in my opinion: Perna de Pau, Fizz, Crok and Epa (just for the bubble gum).
Prices where in Escudos at the time (not dumb-ass euros) so a cornetto would cost 65 paus ( translated: 65 sticks, probably about 10 pence at the time). Happy Sunday!
